Chelsea Herdt-Dawson has been on the coaching staff for the Beaver Valley Tidal Waves for three seasons now. Prior to coaching, Chelsea was a lifeguard and taught swim lessons at the YMCA of Beaver County for 10 years. She now teaches kindergarten full time for the Big Beaver Falls School Area District. She also serves as the head coach for the Beaver Falls/New Brighton High School Swim Team. Coach Chelsea believes that swimming teaches kids important lessons about setting goals and working hard to achieve those goals, all through dedication and focus, failure, and triumph. She strongly believes that the development of young people outside of the pool is just as important as the lessons learned in the pool and seeks to build strong relationships with all her swimmers.

Jenna Tedrow is a 7-year veteran coach and is in her second season with the Tidal Waves. She started her career with the Farrell Dolphins and Steelers, the team she once competed for. Coach Jenna believes that with hard work, dedication, and some fun anyone can achieve their goals. No matter where you got your start, whether you were 5 or 15, if you have great coaches or role models you can take those teachings and turn them into your craft. Mistakes are meant to be made but that does not mean you should let them define you. If something is not working for you but is working for your peers, getting a unique perspective can show you a way that you can succeed.
